This guide walks you through connecting your ChurchSuite account to Jovo. It’s designed for church administrators who need to enable data syncing between the two platforms.
By following these steps, you’ll create the necessary authentication credentials in ChurchSuite and securely add them to Jovo.
Set up the integration in ChurchSuite
1. Open the Jovo integration settings
Go to the Admin area in Jovo
Navigate to the Integration screen
Open the Connection tab
Keep this page open, as you’ll need to paste credentials here later.
2. Log in to ChurchSuite as an administrator
Sign in to ChurchSuite using an administrator account
Ensure this user has access to all sites (if your church uses multiple sites)
This is essential for the integration to work correctly across your organisation.
3. Create an OAuth application
Go to the OAuth applications section in ChurchSuite
Select Add OAuth App
Enter a name and description
Set the application type to Confidential
Set the redirect URI to https://my.jovoapp.com/churchsuite/auth/complete
Save the application
This step allows Jovo to securely authenticate with ChurchSuite.
4. Generate OAuth credentials
Open the OAuth app you just created
Select Add Secret
Enter a name for the secret
Confirm your password
Once created:
Copy the Client ID
Copy the Client Secret
Paste both into the corresponding fields in Jovo
5. Enable API access for your user
In ChurchSuite, locate the user account you are using
Open the More options menu
Select Enable API access
Confirm that you trust this user
This allows the account to interact with ChurchSuite programmatically.
6. Create API sync credentials
After enabling API access, select Add Secret
Give the secret a clear name
Confirm your password
Then:
Copy the API Client ID
Paste it into Jovo
Copy the API Client Secret
Paste it into Jovo
7. Save your credentials in Jovo
Return to Jovo
Click Save ChurchSuite Credentials
Jovo will securely store these details and complete the connection.
You have now successfully connected ChurchSuite to Jovo.
