Use ChurchSuite Smart Tags with Jovo Tag Invites to keep rota-based groups up to date automatically. This is useful for teams such as worship, welcome, café, kids, or any group where membership changes depending on who is serving.
1. Create a Smart Tag in ChurchSuite
Create a Smart Tag for the team you want to sync into Jovo, such as a Sunday Worship Team.
2. Add rota-based conditions
Set the Smart Tag conditions so it includes people who are part of the relevant active ministry and are also marked as "On active rota".
3. Check the tagged people
Review the Smart Tag in ChurchSuite to make sure it is finding the correct people from the rota.
1. Open Tag Invites in Jovo
Go to the Tag Invites area and choose the relevant site.
2. Select the Smart Tag
Choose the ChurchSuite Smart Tag you want to use as the source.
3. Choose the Jovo group
Select the Jovo group* you want these people to be synced into.
* Note that this needs to be a group that sits inside of an Area or sub-Area that has already got a ChurchSuite group sync set up.
4. Set the invite as a continuous sync
Choose continuous sync so the group updates when the Smart Tag changes.
5. Preview and create the sync
Preview the invite to see who will be added, who is already in the group, and who may need to accept the invite. Click the 'Create Rule and Send Invitations" button.
When the Smart Tag refreshes in ChurchSuite, Jovo updates the group membership. People who no longer match the rota conditions are removed, and people newly included by the Smart Tag are invited or added according to the sync rules.
This creates a cycling group that stays focused on the people currently serving.
