How to add members to a Multi-Group

A Multi-Group lets you send one message out to several groups at once. The members of a Multi-Group are the people who can post in it, so the list should stay short.

Everyone in your connected groups already receives whatever is posted to the Multi-Group. You do not need to add them one by one.

Who should be a member

Only add people who will be sending messages out. Anyone who can post in a Multi-Group can send a message to every connected group at once. Keeping the list short keeps that reach with the people you have chosen for it.

If someone only needs to receive messages, you have two options:

Either way, they will start receiving messages posted to the Multi-Group without being a member of it.

Invite people to post

Invitations in a Multi-Group work exactly as they do in a Group.

1. Open the Multi-Group and select Edit.
2. Go to the Invitations tab.
3. Choose how you want to invite people: by email, by link or by QR code.
4. Send the invitation to the people who will be posting.

Check before you send an invitation

Before you invite anyone, ask whether that person needs to send messages out to every connected group. If the answer is no, add them to a connected group instead.

Inviting posters only keeps your Multi-Group a dependable way to reach a lot of people quickly, with everyone else free to read and reply where they already are.
