The admin site is where you look after everything behind the app: your groups, your members, your media and your safeguarding records. This guide walks you through each section, so you know where to go and what you can do when you get there.
It is written for anyone with owner or admin permissions. If you are not sure which tasks belong in the app and which belong here, App vs. Admin Website sets out the difference.
Work through the admin site
Start on the dashboard. Your post count is shown against previous periods, so you can spot the busy weeks and the quiet ones at a glance. Alongside it you will see totals for members, active members, groups and private groups. Quick actions let you create a group, set up a multi-group, invite people, open your insights, add media or jump to your safeguarding log. If you are still finding your feet, the Quick Start video and Help Centre are linked here too.
Manage your groups. The groups screen lists everything you run, with stats on active members and open groups. Areas show how you have organised your setup, and you can open any group to see its members and manage it from there. The Group Finder is where you arrange your categories, move groups around and add as many helpful links as your community needs.
Message several groups at once. Multi-groups let you send one message out to a number of groups at the same time. If you set up audiences in the past, this does the same job. What is a Multi-Group? covers the thinking behind them.
Set your account details. Change your image, choose whether people can find you when they search in the app, and set up the email digest that nudges anyone who has not logged in recently. You can send that daily or weekly, whichever suits you. Multi-location settings sit here as well, explained in Multi-Location Mode in Jovo.
Look after your members. See everyone who has joined, along with any invites still pending. From here you can change permissions and check which groups someone belongs to. As the owner, you can also view email addresses.
Update your media. Change the header image people see at the top of the app, set the default reactions for posts and build an image library. If you have a strong brand, the library keeps everyone using the right images.
Check your subscription. The administration section shows your plan, your active member count and, if you are on a trial, when it ends.
Dig into your insights. Beyond the headline numbers, you can see activity across the last 90 days: when people were active, the types of posts going out such as conversations, images, events and polls, and how many messages came in. Weekly post counts are useful when engagement feels flat, because they show you whether people are posting less often or simply posting differently.
Review the safeguarding log. Notable activity is recorded for you: groups that were deleted, posts that were edited or removed, names that were changed. You can see what a post said before an edit and what it became, so if something is reported you have what you need to look into it properly. Safeguarding Logs: What they are and where to find them goes into more detail.
Connect your integrations. The integrations tab holds your ChurchSuite and Planning Center connections, where you can adjust how each one works. Your own personal settings sit here too.
You are set up
You can now find your way around every part of the admin site: creating and organising groups, messaging several at once, managing permissions, setting your media and reading the numbers behind how your community is using Jovo. When something needs investigating, you know where the safeguarding log is and what it can tell you.
