Using the Dashboard on the admin site

The Dashboard is the first page you see when you sign in to the admin site. It brings your messaging activity, your headline numbers and your most common tasks together in one place, so you can see how things are going and act on it without digging through menus.

This article is for anyone with admin access to Jovo.

See how activity is tracking

1. Sign in to the admin site. The Dashboard opens first.
2. Check the post count against the previous period. This shows you whether conversation is picking up or easing off, rather than leaving you to guess.
3. Look at where activity peaks and where it dips. Peaks usually line up with something happening, such as a launch, a busy season or a group settling in. Dips show you where things have gone quiet and a nudge might help.

Activity data is there to inform a decision, not to score anyone. A quiet week in a small group is not a problem on its own, but it is useful to know about.

Review your headline numbers

1. Check your total members and active members. Total members tells you how many people have been added. Active members tells you how many are actually using Jovo, which is the more useful number when you are planning a push or reviewing how a launch has gone.
2. Check your total groups and private groups. Seeing private groups counted separately gives you a sense of how much conversation is happening in closed spaces. If you are still deciding how to structure things, What are the different types of Groups? covers the options.

Use the quick actions

The quick actions sit on the Dashboard so you can start a common task without navigating away.

1. Create a group or a multi-group. This takes you straight into the same set-up process covered in How to create a Group.
2. Invite members. Use this when you are adding people one at a time or in small batches.
3. Open insights, your media library or the logs. Insights give you the fuller picture behind the Dashboard figures. The media library is where you keep images and files ready to use. The logs are your safeguarding record, explained in Safeguarding Logs: what they are and where to find them.

What you have now

You can now see at a glance how much conversation is happening, how that compares with the period before and where the quiet spots are. You also have your total members, active members, groups and private groups in one view, plus a shortcut into the tasks you carry out most often.
